We are very happy to report that Alexis Simpson has been granted her much anticipated and hoped for apprenticeship by the Arden Theatre. Unfortunately due to the excessive time constraints that this exciting venture will place on her, she’s had to step down as a producer of the Philadelphia Improv Festival. As a founding producer, Alexis has helped to create a festival that strives to bring the country’s top improv talents to Philadelphia audiences. We will miss her and wish her all the best in her endeavors.
In more PHIF producer-related news, we are incredibly excited to welcome the newest member of our PHIF producing team, Alli Soowal. You might know Alli as a founding member of the longform group, MakeOut Clinic, as a recent inductee in the the improv mainstay ComedySportz, as a member of the snackprov duo, BWP, as 1/3 of longform group Men About Town or perhaps as part of the all-female improv/clown hybrid PonyCoat, who took the Troika championship back in March. Alli’s studied with both ComedySportz Comedy College and Philly Improv Theater training programs. We’re really excited to have her on board to help make 2007 the best PHIF yet.
